I have been in a crafting slump until today!!

Today, I have altered a composition notebook, baked cookies and made 3 cards so far!!

Two of the cards and the notebook are for a group I am in and I can't post them until the voting closes, but I promise to show you :)

I can however show you all this card. If you have followed me long, you know that I almost always use a digital stamp on my cards. Well, not today :) As a matter of fact, I didn't use ANY stamps!!

All DP, sticker sentiment and brads are from My Mind's Eye. I also use a Martha Stewart butterfly punch, bling and Cloud 9 (2 & U) stickers.

Sorry I haven't posted anything in a while. Things have been a little stressful around my house the last couple of weeks and have just started to calm down.

I was able to squeeze in a little crafting time last week when I was asked to Guest Design over at Chocolate, Coffee & Cards for this weeks Color Combo Challenge which is being sponsored by Bugaboo and The Robin's Nest.

In honor of Samantha's blogaversary, I have created a "Celebrate" card. It took me forever to decide what I wanted to do for this hop and I finally made this card yesterday afternoon. I must say, I am quite pleased with the way it turned out.

I used Picturesque for the butterfly, Mini Monograms for the scalloped circles & Gypsy Wanderings for the "celebrate" sentiment. I also used DCWV "Linen Closet" which I found in my stash, prima roses, pearls, ribbon and I made 2 beaded stick pins to match.

I also have a little CANDY for you before you go.

**Cooking With Cricut** wants to know what my favorite Cricut project of 2011 was. I really think it has to be this layout I did of my daughter and her best friend.

I have had the pattern paper (TPC Girlfriends) sitting next to my scrap table for over 3 months now and was "waiting for the right moment" to use it. While at Micheal's a couple of weeks ago I found an 8x8 Recollections "Girlfriends" page kit on sale for $0.97.....so I bought all 8 that they had!!! It has some really cute embellies and is pink, black and white :)

I found this awesome sketch over at StuckOnUSketches and knew it was the one for my layout!!

I used Rock Princess for the scroll work and GLAM BABY. The circle was cut at 10" from Plantin Schoolbook. Flowers are from Prima and other embellies were in the Recollections kit. There is also an overlay on the photo.

If you read my earlier post, you will know that I am not feeling well today. I did manage to take a nap and I feel much better....for now.

I printed this adorable Bugaboo (previous freebie) image earlier this morning and finally got it colored and turned into a birthday card for my best friend since Junior High whose "29th" birthday is this weekend :) She loves cows and her nickname is even "Moomie", so I knew this image would be perfect :)

Today's card was made for the CDAC Progressive Freebie Challenges. This amazing image was provided by Just Inklined Digital Stamps and was so fun to create with!!

After printing this image on white CS, I decided it would look better on Kraft paper...what do you think?? Better right :)

The sketch I used this time around is this weeks challenge over at Sketch Saturday. I used papers from Cloud 9 Designs. Border Punch and sentiment are from Fiskars. Of course I colored with Copics then inked my edges with Orange Marmalade Distress Ink.

Today I stayed home from work with my son. He had been running a fever for over 24 hours and had a nasty cough so I took him to the doctor this morning. Luckily, it is just seasonal allergies and sinuses. He is feeling much better now and I got in some crafty time while he was watching cartoons :)
